Taking Hope Along On The Rocky Road

On any given day you can decide to live it with a sense of optimism or a sense of despair. The first is a far better feeling the latter feels really crummy. If you are
sitting in fear and despair just try to move your feelings to something a little more
hopeful. To do this you are going to have to completely ignore your current reality.
Instead focus on how you would like your life to really be going forward. Feel those
feelings of relief when you start to see light at the end of the tunnel or when all
of a sudden you step out of the dark forest into a clearing. In other words "Do not let your eyes settle for what is, let your eyes settle on what is becoming"(my quote) For those who like more of a religious quote here is one from Hebrews 11-7 "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. This is all about trust. Trusting that your current circumstances will change, as long as you believe that they will.

Then my other piece of advise is to just do your best in any given day. If you can only pay one bill then do so. If you can't pay any bills then just accept that is today's reality. Never, never beat yourself up over anything. Remember "You are the asset" so take care of yourself above all else. One way that you can take care of yourself is to go out and walk in a natural setting, cook a good nourishing meal, put your feelings down on paper(guys just try it)listen to some soothing or upbeat music.
Never give up on your dreams, there is simply nothing more real.

What's "Fair" In Collection Practices?

Yes "Fair", how about that! There is something called The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). It was passed to protect customers from being shaken down by collection companies.

As a result of the FDCPA collection agencies are not allowed to:
– Phone your home so often as to harass you.
– They cannot call before 8 A.M. or after 9 P.M.
– They cannot threaten you or use obscene language.
– They cannot call you directly if they know you are being represented by an attorney,
and they cannot call you at work if they know your employer prohibits such calls.
– They cannot call your friends, your neighbors, or the people you work with and reveal
your financial situation.

If they overstep any of these boundaries you can say "You are acting in defiance of the FDCPA
(Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) which is against the law."

Chop Up Your Credit Cards With Your Rachel Ray Chef Knife

Right now the best thing to do is chop up all your credit cards with your Rachel Ray chef knife and put them in the garbage until you have paid them all off. The credit card companies are jacking the interest rates on late payers sometimes to the tune of 32%. Nothing is worth adding 32% interest on top of the price, especially not these
days. If you want to keep one card put it in the freezer to defrost when you have
paid off all your cards. Then only use it for emergencies.
